Scene from Kopperman's Delicatessen in the Central West End.
Damn, I like this one. Excellent shot.
And I'll have to give Kopperman's a visit when next I'm in the Gateway City. Which will, I hope, be sooner vice later (this summer's Busch Stadium trip was the first time I'd crossed the city limits in a couple years, alas; since Dad lives in Jeffco trips "home" don't necessarily result in my getting urban anymore. *sigh*).
Posted by: Len Cleavelin at June 23, 2005 08:08 AMwe just took the husband's grandparents (born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, baby!) there this weekend, and they were delighted. Hot pastrami sandwiches ("on Jewish rye," grandma specified), fresh lemonade...the only drawback is the prison hospital restrooms.
Posted by: amanda at June 23, 2005 10:56 AMI love Kopperman's. A waitress from there was telling me the other day that they were featured on the Food Network some time ago and everytime the episode of the show they were on replays, tour busses pull up outside.
Tour busses!
