Well it's that time of year where the suspense comes to an end and the chosen musical acts for the mainstage of Fair St. Louis are announced. This year they tried something new, and allowed us to vote for who we, the public, most wanted to shake our fanny packs to. I can't say that there was a whole lot to choose from, but let's just say that my choices weren't picked. We get Raven and The Black Eyed Peas on July 2nd, The Four Tops and Switchfoot on July 3rd, and be ready to pack some heat for the Nuge on the 4th, who I'm sure will bring out the most "patriotic" among us! He is appearing before the Oak Ridge Boys who will most likely take us into the fireworks grand finale with Elvira. Yeehaw!!

"The future of the shooting sports in this country is in the hands of tomorrow's outdoorsmen and women. The youth of America must be educated to the wholesome and valued world of hunting and conservation. Because rock 'n roll plays such a pivotal role in a young person's life, I will share my wonderful lifestyle and experiences with them," believe Nugent."

The stage was decorated with assault rifles and sandbags and was obviously supposed to look like Iraq. He would yell out things like "Let's hear it for George f***ing Bush" and the crowd went wild. I was nervously glancing around for people in brown shirts and made a beeline for the VIP bar to wait for ZZ Top.
